Named after the Taino sculpture/God used to fertilize the soil for the main crop of yucca. I first learned about a Trigonolito when I went to the MET for an art history paper. There I saw the Trigonolito donated to the museum by Oscar de la Renta.

I dyed the outer fabric using shirobi techniques and professional synthetic dyes. The lining fabric is a fun squiggle pattern that reminds me of my squiggle ceramic bowls.  To help the bags keep their shapes, a layer of fusible interfacing is sandwiched in between the two fabrics.
